My practice is inclusive and affirming, and I am committed to helping you on your journey towards healing and personal growth.

How are you feeling?

Communication with my partner is breaking down, how can we improve it?

Working through the Gottman Method, I will help you learn to communicate effectively using “I” statements, increase intimacy, respect, and affection for each other, and create a more empathic and understanding relationship.

My partner and I/I live an alternative sexual lifestyle.  I/we would like help to fully explore this aspect of my/our life. 
Can you help us navigate our/my alternative sexual lifestyle?

My experience includes helping couples and singles who live alternative sexual lifestyles.  I work with couples/singles with a judgment-free attitude, mindset, and a supportive approach. Consensual non-monogamy, open relationships, swinging, BDSM, D/S, kink, polyamory, pansexuality, and other aspects of the alternative sexual lifestyle world are all welcome.

I am/have been a sex worker, will I be able to talk openly about this aspect of my life?

Through personal and professional knowledge of sex work and sex work stigma, I will provide you with the opportunity to openly express your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgment or discomfort.

My teenager is misbehaving, what are some strategies that will help?

Teenagers are learning to express their emotions and assert their independence. Conflict between parents and teenagers is common and can be alleviated by parents using praise, rewards, incentives, “I” statements, and by listening more and talking less.

I’m feeling anxious, how can you help me?

We can work through your anxiety using proven strategies to help you identify and modify your worrisome thoughts, feelings, and beliefs to help you change the negative automatic thoughts that spin in your mind.

Sometimes I get so angry, how can I calm myself down?

All of us feel anger sometimes. The key is to recognize its source and to learn to deal with its effects on you.  I can teach you deep breathing and muscle relaxation, how to restructure your thoughts, to problem solve rather than taking your feelings out on others, and be assertive without being cruel.

I feel sad all the time, what can I do to feel happy again?

There are a number of proven effective treatments for depression. During multiple sessions, we will set goals, work on changing negative cognitive distortions for positive thoughts, and using behavioural activation and homework, get you back to doing the things you used to love!
